Print & Softback Binding

In addition to our hardback thesis / report printing and binding, we also offer a print & softback binding service.

JFK Bookbinders are one of the oldest established binderies in Ireland. Situated beside Galway Bay FM, our craftspeople work using both traditional methods as well as the latest technology to deliver exceptional bookbinding. We have two options for Softback Binding Service: Spiral binding & Gum Binding.

With Gum Binding, the bound publication is thermally glued together using thermal (hot) glue to fix pages in place and the spine is strengthened via the addition of a strip of cloth. The final bound document looks very neat and tidy. For Spiral binding, we use strips of plastic or wire that pass through a series of holes to bind together stacked paper. We can advise you on which would be best suited to your needs.
